Los Angeles became undisputedly the art world's mecca in February 2023. Three events are being held. Frieze Fair, La Art Show, and Felix Art Show. I attended all of them. There are art scouts from all over the world looking for the new Jeff Koons, Kara Walker, Yaoy Kusama, or Rick Lowe.  My excitement grows as I follow the crowd to an unknown art destination at the LA Art Show. It is a gruesome oil portrait of Vladimir Putin by Dutch artist Johan Andersson titled: The Depts of Hell. The perfect subject for a dialogue on the controversy. 

The painting’s image of him with blood dripping from his eyes, beaten up and close to death. The information was given to me.
