Press Release.
Joan Schwartz medianews USA Art performance, Los Angeles 6/18/2019
Los Angeles, 2019. Is Warhol on the menu? Holly Rodriquez.

That’s not Andy. May his soul rest in peace. His Los Angeles collectors, however, will be able to discuss his paintings. As well as authentic food cooked in Mikova, Slovakia. Julia Zavacky, Andy’s mom, brought the recipe to Pittsburgh. A number of contributors to LAARTTV have unique footage from 1986. This program was produced for the BBC by LA Food TV.

Visiting Mikova (Medzilaborce) in Slovakia Europe. Art performance de rigueur. Cooking for three days with the Varchola family using the edited recipe. On the walls of these homes’ private galleries, Mikova’s cooking is digitally projected in hued colors. Meanwhile, the collectors’ crowd will indulge in Andy’s favorite chew and imbibe on bubbles, dining next to Warhol’s million-dollar art extravaganzas.

There is a 10 ft. tall movie buttress in the center of the mansion’s gallery. It brings to mind Andy’s eponymous Empire State Building movie. This lavish dinner with Warhol’s taste buds has two appropriate apropos. Next to the State Empire is art designed ergonomic egro bed.

A relaxing look alike can be found in Edith Sedgwick, who was one of Andy Warhol’s biggest stars. Victoria’s Secret is not the brand she is modeling. There’s a bit of sexism in it. Another actor wears a yellow brocade jumpsuit with black zigzag zippers. It is imprinted with Andy’s quotations on a round dinner plate 3 feet in diameter.

He reads them as “Making money is an art, working is an art, and good business is the best art.” So, when you bite into the halusky, you aren’t just tasting paprika, but some imaginary aftertaste as well. It is the dollar image canvases, signed by Warhol, that add spice to the dish.

Different colors stare at you from different angles. From the wall right there. Bon Appetite in monetary form. Agreed. Art, Music, and food go together, but someone has to pay for them. There is no way I can afford it. That’s all. In September 2019, private residences in Los Angeles will host performances benefiting charities.
